COP COMPRESSOR OIL SYSTEMS

DESCRIPTION:  Baron USA BA-COP Series purifiers are complete systems for the purification of oils used in refrigeration compressors for freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps, industrial cooling applications etc.

Mineral-based, alkylbenzene and polyolester (POE) refrigeration lubricants used in modern reciprocating, scroll, screw and many centrifugal compressors require a low dissolved water content to assure high performance at the low operating temperatures of the devices they are lubricating.

Polyolester oil (POE) and other polar / hygroscopic oils require special treatment and post-treatment storage due to their high affinity to absorb humidity from the air.

CONTAMINANTS REMOVED:

Water: Suppression of total water content to less than 10 PPMw (mineral oil) by vacuum dehydration and analogous values for polyesters.

Dissolved Gas: Free, emulsified and dissolved air removed to less than 0.25% by high vacuum degasification.

Particulate: Inlet and discharge particulate removal to smaller than 0.5 microns using standard pleated paper elements.

Post-Processing Protection: Storage under vacuum to preserve and enhance oil quality for ultra-low dissolved water and gas content for premium quality oil to feed your filling/charging process.

STANDARD COMPONENTS:

Flow Rate: processed oil discharge rates to charging boards are available at 30, 75 and 150 gph as standard (others available upon request)

Vacuum System: single or multi-stage high vacuum processing depending on oil type; single or dual vacuum storage tanks to allow processed oil segregation and testing before feeding production.  Processed oil is held under high vacuum to preserve quality until used.  Single, dual and triple vacuum storage tanks are available for auto-switching in 60, 150, 250 and 500 vacuum gallon capacities.

Options include: pressure booster pump to discharge higher viscosity fluids or for increased pressure availability at dispensing/charging boards; water-in-oil meters; and others.

These systems are designed for simple and convenient operation through a touch screen operator interface terminal (OIT).   A single button on the OIT starts and stops the system.
