Seal Oil Systems

DESCRIPTION:  BaronUSA’s BA-SOD family of vacuum oil purifiers are used to purify contaminated compressor seal oil through particulate filtration, vacuum dehydration and degasification as well as fullers earth treatment. Systems are available in the following flow rates:  75, 150, 300, 600, 900, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2400, 3000, 3600 and 6000 USgph. Trailered and stationary configurations available.

Standard systems will remove C1 through C8 hydrocarbons under vacuum.  With the optional ‘H’ temperature option, the system will also remove hydrocarbons in the C9 to C14 region.

STANDARD COMPONENTS:

  • Heavy-duty, positive-displacement, low NPSH, direct-driven, rotary tri-screw oil pumps.

  • ASME design filter housings that accept industry standard 6” x 18” filter cartridges.

  • Oil lubricated vacuum pump.

  • Internally bypassed vacuum booster.

  • Vacuum chamber for spreading of the oil into a thin film and exposure to vacuum.

  • Low watt-density oil heating system.

  • Weld piping and structure.

  • Central control panel with simple controls, programmable logic controller, vacuum gauge and other indicators.

OPTIONAL FEATURES:

  • High temperature versions available for removal of higher hydrocarbon compounds in the C9 to C14 range.

  • Versions with all stainless steel wetted parts are available for sour oil/corrosive applications such as oils containing trace H2S.

  • Exhaust compressor on vacuum pump exhaust to allow direct exhaust into flare systems. Fullers earth bulk-type filters are available for acid number reduction, color correction, removal of varnishes, gums and sludge.  Filters are available to hold 1, 2, 3, 6 or 14 standard 6” x 18” elements or in sizes of 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 pound capacities in either single or multiple units for bulk clay.

  • Two stage systems are available to handle incoming water content > 100 ppm.
