High Vacuum Transformer Oil Purifier Systems
Purpose: To remove moisture, dissolved gasses and particulate from transformer oils and fluids by high vacuum degasification, dehydration and filtration.
Description:Stationary systems are available to condition oil prior to filling newly manufactured transformers, load tap changers, bushings and oil-filled circuit breakers. Feed tanks and vacuum storage tanks are available to ensure the highest purity of oil for device filling.
Mobile versions are available in various sizes with the additional capability to remove moisture from the active parts of an off‐line (de‐energized) transformer prior to oil filling for new installations and for transformers undergoing maintenance. These may have auxiliary high vacuum capability and/or dry air systems for vacuum evacuation, vacuum break and dewpoint testing. Mobile systems used for transformer evacuation and filling typically have data logging to provide a record of how new transformers were processed during installation. These systems can also have Baron's Moisture Monitor, Transformer Dry Out Estimator, and Transformer Leak Test features added.
High vacuum purifiers can also be used with a fullers earth system (BA‐CL Series) to regenerate used or oxidized oils and can be used for transformer 'desludging'. Fullers earth is used to correct power factor, interfacial tension, neutralization number and color.
Stationary and mobile systems are available in flow rates of 75, 150, 300, 600, 900, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2400, 3000, 3600 and 6000 USgph.
Mobile variations include ball hitch bumper pull trailer, pintle hitch trailer, gooseneck trailer, straight truck and semi-trailers from 30 ft to 53 ft long depending on system flow rate and desired options.
Baron uses state-of-the-art dry screw vacuum pump technology and internally bypassed vacuum booster technology wherever possible.
All systems are available with optional generators to allow self-powered operation. Many other options are available such as air-conditioned operator spaces, onboard oil testing equipment, cold traps for moisture collection, dry air systems, hoses and reels, oil booster pump for hot oil spray and many others.
Specific application systems are available for online energized drying (AUTOS), wind and solar farms (WF) and cable oil purification/filling.
